McCain Too Old to Run for President?

John McCain is now 70 years old -- pretty good for a guy who's gone through as much as he has. Reviewing the ages of presidents of the United States at the time of their taking office in January, following their being elected, shows that he would be older than all former presidents. Ronald Reagan was right up there, though, and he was a fine president -- one of the best. Another thing that has me concerned about Mr. McCain is that he has melanoma cancer (according to the news), and this form of cancer has a terrible record for killing off those who have it. He's been operated for it according to the news. I don't know. I'm more inclined to think that a more important reason why he may not make it is that he tends to "do his own thing", and sometimes at the expense of better advice from others. I probably won't vote for him for this reason. Sorry, John.
